PostsThe startup in Bangalore has investors, mentors, accelerators, media coverage, and an entire ecosystem built around making it succeed. The business owner in Tier 2 India has been building alone. No support infrastructure. No ecosystem. Just hard work, gut instinct, and the weight of every family depending on that business. And yet that business owner employs 20, 30, 40 families. Pays taxes. Builds something real with real money. The gap between them is not ambition. It is not a capability. It is the quality of support available to them. The day that gap closes, India will not just grow. It will grow in a way this country has never seen before. Because the real engine of this economy has always been the business owner no one was paying attention to. That day is what we are working toward.

CarouselA friend named Rajesh said something to me at dinner that I have not been able to let go of: "Rajiv, if there is anyone today who has the shot at building an ecosystem that unifies and impacts MSMEs in this country, it is you." That sentence gave me a vision bigger than what I had seen for myself. 6.3 crore businesses. Risk-takers. Believers. People who started something and kept showing up with no safety net, no second chance, no press coverage. The most ethical business owners in this country. Paying taxes. Paying salaries. Keeping their word. The day India treats them with the same respect it gives the funded and the covered, the economy will not just grow. It will transform.

CarouselThe businesses that closed in the last decade did not all close because of competition. Many of them closed because the business owner had nobody to call on the day the real problem arrived. Competition is visible. You can see it, study it, respond to it. Isolation is invisible. You do not know what you do not know. You do not know the peer who solved your exact problem five years ago. You do not know the question you should have asked before the decision that cost you two years. That is what isolation actually costs. Not just the weight of building alone. But decisions made without context. Lessons that existed somewhere, just not near you. The MSME businesses that survived the hardest periods were not the ones with the least competition. They were the ones where the business owner was not alone in the fight. You were never meant to build this alone.

CarouselNobody funds a life. You build it. With your own savings, your own risk, your own sleepless Fridays. The business owner who did that never needed a pitch deck to prove it was real. It always was.

CarouselThere is a version of failure that only business owners understand. It is not the version that shows up in a profit and loss statement. It is the employee who took a pay cut during a hard year because they believed in you. The family that gave you the first loan when no bank would. The team that stayed when they had every reason to leave. That is the weight every business owner carries. Most people who have never built something call it fear. It is not fear. Fear is about your own survival. This is about everyone else's. The business owner who carries this weight is not fragile. They are the most responsible person in the room. They just never get called that.

CarouselStarted with dating, long drives & big dreams… Got married and said, “No kids. Not our plan.” 😂 Life: “Let’s revisit that.” 10 years later — baby #1 ❤️ At 40 — baby #2 👶✨ Meanwhile… Pregnant? Still travelling 🌍 Still chasing waterfalls, sunsets & random adventures. And yes… peak moment 🤣 Recreated our maternity pose - with my coach Ashlesh — same pose, very different belly 😂 From “just us” → to “parents to 2 Angels and 1 Fur Baby” Moral of the story: There’s no perfect timing. Just live it… fully.

CarouselWe started the same way. For the family. For time back. For a life we wanted to call our own. Not for more hours, more calls, more of everything routing through one person. But the business has its own logic. It grows toward whoever shows up for it most. And for most of us, that has been ourselves. Every decision. Every crisis. The 11 pm message we told ourselves we would not send. At some point, the business stopped being something we built. It became something we carried. That is not passion. That is what happens when a business is designed to need one person for everything. We did not lose our freedom to the business. We never built the thing that would have given it back. We did not start to become the business. We started to build one.

CarouselThe salary is the part everyone counts. The business owner's time is the part that actually runs the business. Every hire is not just an interview. It is weeks of the business owner's attention before the person joins, during their time in the business, and after they leave. The mental load of explaining how things work here. In a large organization, this cycle is absorbed by systems. HR teams, onboarding processes, and middle managers who handle the noise before it reaches the top. In an MSME, there are no such systems. The business owner is the system. Every single time someone walks in or out. 6.3 crore business owners carry this reality.

CarouselThe business did not stop growing. We did. Most of us spend years looking for the answer outside. Wrong strategy. Wrong team. Wrong market. We were never taught to look in the other direction. Every stage of building demands a version of us that does not yet exist yet. Going from one crore to ten crore is not a planning problem. It is a personal transformation problem. The skills, the identity, the way we make decisions, all of it has to change before the business can. The hardest part is not building the business. It is becoming the person the next version of the business needs. Your business will always outgrow who you are. The only question is whether you will outgrow yourself fast enough to keep up.

ReelsWe've all heard it. "Sab kuch hamaara hai." And in that moment, we go quiet. Because asking feels like doubting. But if clarity makes someone uncomfortable, that relationship already has a boundary you just couldn't see yet. Trust doesn't mean no questions. Trust means anyone can ask anything, and no one feels bad about it. Bas itna hi.
