Posts🇺🇸 A major update for Indians hoping to build a career in the US! The US has begun approving certain H-1B visa petitions without the controversial $100,000 fee, following federal court orders blocking its enforcement. The development could reopen job opportunities for skilled Indian professionals based outside the US. 🇮🇳 Here’s what you need to know: 🔹 What was the $100,000 fee? Introduced in September 2025, the fee applied to certain new H-1B petitions involving workers outside the US, making overseas hiring significantly more expensive for employers. 🔹 What has changed? US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has started approving some petitions filed without the fee, following court rulings that blocked its enforcement. However, processing remains uneven, and some applications are still pending. 🔹 How does this affect Indian students? Students planning to study in the US often hope to work there after graduation. If employers face fewer financial barriers to sponsoring eligible overseas workers, they may reconsider candidates they previously avoided because of the fee. 🔹 Does this guarantee jobs or work visas? No. The H-1B visa still has eligibility requirements and a selection process. This update also does not change F-1 student visa rules or automatically extend post-study work rights. ⚠️ Important: The US government has appealed the court rulings, so the legal position could change. The fee is currently blocked, not permanently abolished. For Indian students, this could be an encouraging development for future US career opportunities, but it is important to keep track of further updates. #studyinusa #h1bvisa #trump #studyabroad #usvisa
