CarouselA debris-laden flash flood in a river has swept away more than 35 houses and bridges in Nepal’s Gorkha district on Sunday, authorities said, urging people living along the stream to move to higher ground. The flood in the Budhi Gandaki River swept away houses in Salleri, Paiyuka and the riverbed at Jagat, as well as a suspension bridge connecting the ward, Ram Kumar Gurung, ward chair of Chumnubri Rural Municipality-3, was quoted as saying by the Kathmandu Post. Dharmendra Kumar Mishra, Gorkha’s chief district officer, said preliminary reports indicated that a landslide had occurred above Siuribas. No casualties have been reported so far, he said. The cause of the sudden surge remained unclear. Residents suspect that the Syar stream, a tributary of the Budhi Gandaki between Lokpa and Chumling in Chumnubri-6, may have been blocked, triggering the flood. The flash flood in the river swept away more than 35 houses in several locations in northern Gorkha, officials said. Chumnubri Rural Municipality Deputy Chair Laxmi Gurung said the flood that hit the Budhi Gandaki this morning is reminiscent of the Bhotekoshi flood in Rasuwa, Online Khabar news portal reported. “The Budhigandaki flood is reminiscent of the Bhotekoshi flood,” she said. “It has washed away dozens of houses. It is not possible to say the exact extent of the damage right now.” #Hindustanwave #india #nepal #flood #kathmandu

CarouselELON MUSK CALLS HIM “PRIME MINISTER AMBANI” 🛰️ vs 📱 The Elon Musk vs Mukesh Ambani fight just got personal. In a sarcastic post on X on Oct 10, Elon wrote, “Dear Prime Minister Ambani,” and apologized for not knowing who the “real boss of India” is. Musk’s allegation is serious. He claims a telecom monopoly is hurting millions of Indians with high costs and poor connectivity. He says this is depriving kids of online education and stopping small businesses from reaching the world. His pitch? Starlink. Musk says his satellite internet can fix this gap from space, no towers needed. He also claims that when floods or cyclones hit and mobile networks fail, Starlink can restore critical communication and save lives. This comes after his earlier post asking, “Is Ambani the real boss of India?” over Starlink’s delayed launch. The government has hit back hard. Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said India does not permit monopolies. The Communications Ministry clarified that Starlink, Jio Satellite, and OneWeb are all at the same stage. Yes, Starlink has a licence, but it still needs to complete security compliance and get spectrum before it can start. Rules or monopoly protection? What do you think? #Hindustanwave #elonmusk #starlink #jio

CarouselAs crowds begin to gather at Delhi’ Jantar Mantar for the Cockroach Janta Party-led (CJP) protest, the Delhi Police — who denied permission for the demonstration — have detained founder Abhijeet Dipke and other CJP leaders including Saurav Das, Ashutosh Ranka as soon as they landed in Delhi. Meanwhile, protesters are being singled out, detained and taken away into buses from in and around the designated protest site in central Delhi. The protest called by the CJP and other Left organisationson Saturday (October 10, 2026) looks to step up pressure on the demand of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation and the rollback of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. YouTuber Dhruv Rathee was detained in a joint operation by the Delhi and Gurugram police from a residential flat in Gurugram on Saturday morning (October 10, 2026) and taken to an undisclosed location, according to sources in intelligence agencies. Delhi Police expects around 7,000 protesters to arrive in the national capital, with senior officers directing personnel to exercise maximum restraint and handle the situation professionally, an official said. On the possibility of shifting the protesters to Ramlila Maidan, police clarified that no application seeking permission to hold a demonstration there has been received so far. #Hindustanwave #india #cjp #abhijeetdipke

CarouselAhead of the massive protest by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) alongside student organisations, social activists and farmer organisations on Saturday (October 10, 2026), authorities have clamped down with strict security measures and traffic restrictions across New Delhi. 57 metro stations closed In response to the protests, several restrictions on transit have been implemented across the national capital. The Delhi Police have also proposed closing entry and exit gates at 57 metro stations and reducing train frequency, citing the likelihood of “unruly crowd movement towards sensitive locations”. Major transit hubs such as Janpath, Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat, Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, Kashmere Gate, Hauz Khas, and Supreme Court are among the closed locations. Trains cancelled and diverted Similarly, railway zones across the country, including Western Railway, Central Railway, Northern Railway and North-Western Railway, have cancelled or rescheduled scores of Delhi-bound train services citing severe road traffic congestion around New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin railway staions. Other closures: schools, colleges, liquor shops shut The Delhi government ordered all retail liquor vendors to remain closed on October 9, 2026 and October 10, 2026, citing the prevailing situation and the need to maintain public order. CarouselSocial Media Erupts Over Musk-Rahul Gandhi Exchange Amid US Curbs On Indian IT Majors A brief conversation on X between US billionaire Elon Musk and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has triggered a political storm in India, with the timing of a major US action against Indian tech firms adding fuel to the debate. It started when Musk alleged that domestic corporate interests were stalling Starlink’s launch in India to safeguard their market dominance. In a post on October 8, he questioned the prolonged approval process and asked if Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani was “the real boss of India.” Responding to the remark, Rahul Gandhi posted a cryptic message: “Welcome to India, Elon. Wait till you discover the other guy,” widely seen as a reference to industrialist Gautam Adani. Musk thanked Gandhi and said the situation was “indeed troubling,” appearing to endorse the criticism. The exchange drew extra attention as it came just as the US Labour Department announced a major restriction on leading technology employers. Eight companies, including Indian IT leaders TCS, Infosys, Wipro, HCLTech, Cognizant and global players like Microsoft and Adobe, were barred from the PERM programme, which is the first step for securing US employment-based green cards. According to US officials, the move is part of a crackdown on alleged abuse of foreign worker programmes to protect domestic employment. The two developments together have split public opinion online, with many users pointing out the contrast between Washington protecting its own market and an American businessman questioning India’s regulatory process, and others questioning the optics of the opposition leader aligning with Musk’s charge. The Centre has dismissed Musk’s allegation, stating that the satcom licensing process is uniform and non-discriminatory. All three licensed operators - Starlink, Jio Satellite Communications and Eutelsat OneWeb - are currently undergoing mandatory security evaluations before commercial operations can begin. #Hindustanwave #india #elonmusk #rahulgandhi #starlink
CarouselEC BREAKS SILENCE: The Truth Behind 13 Crore “Missing” Voters For days, the claim has been viral - 13 Crore voters deleted during SIR to help BJP. Election Commission has finally responded with data. And the reality is very different. Those 13 Cr voters were NOT deleted arbitrarily. They fall under ASDD - Absent, Shifted, Dead & Duplicate. This is a standard cleanup process that the Opposition itself has demanded for years to ensure clean voter rolls. EC also clarified: Form 6 has NOT been changed. Only an extra declaration has been added to stop fake entries and duplicate voting. No voter is being stopped from registering. Now the biggest question: If SIR was a BJP tool designed to ensure BJP victories, why did BJP LOSE? Look at the results post-SIR. BJP lost Kerala and Tamil Nadu despite the same SIR process. In other states too, there is no complete BJP sweep. If SIR was rigged for BJP, the results should have shown a BJP advantage everywhere. They don’t. You can’t demand clean rolls and then call the cleanup rigging. Is SIR about vote chori or voter list correction? The data speaks. #Hindustanwave #SIR #ElectionCommission #SpecialIntensiveRevision
