Reels👶 One of the biggest worries parents have is seeing other babies take their first steps while their own little one is still crawling, pulling up or cruising along furniture. But learning to walk isn’t a single milestone. It’s a process, and babies don’t all follow exactly the same timeline. Some babies start walking around their first birthday, while others take longer. If your baby is cruising along furniture but hasn’t started walking independently yet, that alone doesn’t tell the whole story. 🚩 When should you seek advice? If your child isn’t standing with support, cruising or attempting to walk by 18 months, consult your paediatrician or a developmental specialist. If your child loses skills they previously had, seek medical assessment promptly. ReelsComment MEDICINE to get a list of baby-friendly medicine dispensers in your DMs! 🍼. Does giving medicine to your child turn into a full-blown struggle? Save these tips for the next dose! If your toddler cries, spits out medicine or refuses to open their mouth, you’re not alone. Giving liquid medicine to babies and young children can be stressful but forcing it can make future doses even harder. Always check with your pharmacist before mixing medicine with food, changing its temperature or using a food or drink to mask its taste. Some medicines have specific instructions. ReelsComment “Picky” to the Link of a full detailed video on 1-3 Year old Toddler Daily Diet Plan If your toddler eats pasta, dal-rice or roti happily but refuses vegetables, you’re definitely not alone. Picky eating is a common challenge for parents, and getting children to try new foods can take patience. Instead of turning every meal into a battle, try making vegetables a more familiar, low-pressure part of your child’s routine. Most importantly? Keep offering, without forcing. A child may need repeated opportunities to become comfortable with a new food. There’s no need to expect an empty plate on the first try. 📌 Save this for your next mealtime and share it with a parent dealing with a picky eater. CarouselWhat actually scares me as a pediatrician this Halloween? Forget ghosts and witches. 👻 Some of the real concerns I see are much closer to home. As a pediatrician, I want parents to know that you don’t have to know everything. You just need reliable information, awareness of warning signs, and the confidence to ask for help. A few important reminders: ✔️ Vaccines do not cause autism. ✔️ Screens do not cause autism, but excessive screen exposure deserves attention. ✔️ Ask your pediatrician about recommended Vitamin D supplementation during infancy. ✔️ Use AI for general information, not as a substitute for diagnosis or treatment. ✔️ Listen to children, respect their boundaries and take safety concerns seriously. ✔️ Never start antibiotics for your child without appropriate medical advice. This Halloween, let’s be more afraid of misinformation than evidence-based medicine. ❤️ — Dr. Deepa Aggarwal Senior Consultant Pediatrician & Neonatologist Mayom Hospital | Shishu Care #DrDeepaAggarwal #ParentingTips #halloween2026 #ChildHealth #vaccination

Reels💬 Comment “LIST” if you’d like a simple guide to common pediatric medicines and their storage/discard timelines. The truth is that not all pediatric syrups follow the same discard timeline. Different medicines have different storage recommendations, and the safest source of information is always the product label and your healthcare professional not a viral social media post. Some medicines may remain usable for longer when stored correctly, while certain medicines such as many reconstituted antibiotic syrups must be discarded after the period mentioned on the label. For Nose drops, eye drops, and ear drops, you have to discard them in one month after opening. For ointments, it is three months. ✅ “Har syrup ko 1 month baad discard karna zaroori nahi hota. Bottle par likhi manufacturer ki instructions padhiye. Agar ‘discard after opening’ ka period diya hai, usi ko follow kariye. Agar nahi diya hai, to expiry date aur storage instructions follow karein.” And When you’re unsure, don’t guess. 👨⚕️ Ask your pediatrician or pharmacist before using or discarding any medicine.
