Honestly, putting our flops out here feels a little strange because we’re so used to sharing the good parts of our lives. But this is us too. Two people with big dreams, too many plans, sometimes unrealistic expectations and a lot of things we’re still figuring out. Maybe we could have done better, maybe we could have tried harder, but we’re also learning to give ourselves a little grace. If 2026 didn’t go exactly how you imagined either, we’re in this together. On my first dive as a certified open-water diver in the Maldives, we saw a Manta Ray. I’d learnt to swim only a few weeks before this trip. The ocean, which once felt intimidating to me, was slowly becoming a world I wanted to explore. And then, in the middle of that blue world, we saw this beautiful creature gliding through the water. There’s something about watching a Manta Ray underwater that is difficult to put into words. The way it moves, its enormous wings, its calm presence… it almost feels like watching something otherworldly. I knew I was witnessing something I might not experience again for a very long time. And some memories are too special to just live in your camera roll. So I decided to carry this one with me forever. A little Manta Ray, permanently inked on my skin. We’ve always believed that traditions have a beautiful intention behind them, even if the way we practise them evolves with time. Maybe back in the day, fasting was one way to practise discipline, give the body a break from constant eating, and express love and prayers for your partner. And while the meaning of Karwa Chauth is deeply personal to everyone, we feel that in today’s world, taking care of each other can look a little different too. For us, it means promising to eat healthier, stay active, learn new things, take care of our mental and physical health, and encourage each other to become better versions of ourselves.
