CarouselThat’s our story! 🧿🎈♥️ I became your mama on May 2, 2026. But you weren’t in my arms. ❤️ At 33 weeks and 1 day, my little Kaju arrived into this world, seven weeks earlier than we had imagined. And just like that, the birth story I had pictured became something entirely different. While I was recovering from my C-section, my baby was in the NICU. My hospital room had flowers, visitors and congratulations. But the one person I wanted beside me wasn’t there. Instead of newborn cuddles, there were NICU visits. Instead of sleepless nights feeding my baby, there were nights spent wondering how he was doing. Instead of holding him close, I learnt to love him through the walls of an incubator. Those six days taught Samaksh and me a different kind of parenthood. One filled with tiny milestones, anxious moments, whispered prayers and a love we never knew could be so overwhelming. And then, after six days, we finally brought our little boy home. 🥹 I know our NICU journey was much shorter than that of so many families. Some babies spend weeks or months there, and some parents are still waiting for the day they can bring their little ones home. My heart is with every single one of you. Because no matter how long the NICU journey is, every baby deserves to be celebrated, and every parent’s feelings deserve to be heard. To the doctors and nurses who cared for our little boy when we couldn’t be beside him, thank you. And to my Kaju, you may have arrived earlier than expected, but you filled our lives with more love than we could ever have imagined. This is our birth story. Not the one we planned, but one that will forever be a part of us. ❤️ If you’re a NICU parent, I’d love for you to share your little one’s story in the comments. Let’s make this a space of love, hope and support. #NICUMom #PreemieBaby #NICUJourney #PrematureBaby #newmom
