But if you love the balance of sweet, salty, creamy and tangy flavors, you’re going to love this one. 🤍 If you can’t find arugula, baby spinach is the closest and easiest substitute. ReelsSoft, pillowy Bomboloni bursting with mango cream🥭 Ingredients: For the Bomboloni Dough: * 500 g all-purpose flour (maida) * 80 g caster sugar * 8 g instant yeast * 30 g butter (softened, salted or unsalted) * 2 large eggs * 6 tbsp warm milk * 7 tbsp warm water * 4 g salt * Oil (for frying, neutral oil) * Caster sugar (for coating) 🥭 For the Mango Cream Filling: * 200 ml whipping cream * 1 cup Alphonso mango puree * 1 cup chopped Alphonso mango (or any sweet mango) 👩🍳 Method: Step 1: Prepare the Dough - In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, butter, eggs, warm milk, warm water, and salt. Mix everything together to form a soft dough. - Knead until smooth, then cover and let it rise for 4–5 hours, or until doubled in size. Step 2: Shape the Bomboloni - Punch down the risen dough to release air. Divide into 50 g portions and roll into smooth balls. - Flatten each ball slightly, remove any air pockets, and reshape. - Place each dough ball on oil-brushed parchment/butter paper squares to prevent sticking. - Cover (with a damp cloth or parchment) and let them rise again for 30 minutes or until doubled. Step 3: Fry the Bomboloni - Heat neutral oil in a wide pan on low flame (very important for even cooking). - Gently place 3–4 bomboloni (along with the parchment if needed, it will release). - Fry on low heat, turning occasionally, until light golden brown on all sides. Do not over-brown. - Remove, drain excess oil, and while still warm, coat in caster sugar. Let them cool completely. Step 4: Prepare Mango Cream - Whip the whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Add Mango puree and Chopped mango pieces - Gently fold the mixture lightly and unevenly. Do NOT fully combine — keep a ribbon/swirl effect for a beautiful texture. - Transfer to a piping bag. Step 5: Fill the Bomboloni - Make a small cavity in each bomboloni using a knife or skewer. - Pipe the mango cream filling generously inside. Top with Extra whipped cream and Mango pieces Enjoy ☺️ . . . [italian dessert, bombolone, stuffed doughnuts, bomboloni, mango, cream, easy, dessert, sweet, summer]
