Protein & Dietary Fibre Rich, Gluten Free Buns Made with Cowpeas and Isabgol/ Psyllium Husk The buns carry the taste of the cowpeas we use which I totally love. So fluffy and yum! You could add spices and vegetable powders of your choice in the dough for more variation. I used @kohfoods.in spinach powder to make greenish buns shaped as Xmas tree 🌲 Ingredients: 200gm soaked cowpeas 2 spoons Isabgol/ Psyllium Husk 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 spoon vinegar 1 teaspoon salt 1 spoon @kohfoods.in spinach powder Little water OPTIONAL: Unflavoured Protein powder Soak the cowpeas. Wash and blend with all ingredients. Shape them as desired with wet hands. Bake for 10mins at 180C. Don’t almonds make perfect turtle heads? We popped in some tender mint leaves too for the ULTA PULTA TURTLES to munch 😂 No spinach at home so Adi suggested using Oma leaves from our garden. Blended them and added in idli batter to make it green. Actually had very little idli batter so I mixed some soaked sabudana in it. Interesting texture 🤣 Sunflower seeds as limbs and tail. My favorite is masoor dal buns❤️ Ingredients: 200gm dal 2 spoons Isabgol/ Psyllium Husk 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 spoon vinegar 1 teaspoon salt Little water OPTIONAL: Unflavoured Protein powder Soak the dal. Wash and blend with all ingredients. Shape them as desired with wet hands. Bake for 10mins at 180C. Cool and enjoy with some gravy or nut butter 🤤
