ReelsWorried that bone marrow is difficult to digest for your 6-month-old baby? ❤️ Bone marrow is rich in fat, iron, and other nutrients that support your baby’s growth and development. Its soft texture and fat content can make it a nutritious option when starting solids at 6 months. When prepared properly and offered in an age-appropriate texture, bone marrow can be introduced as part of your baby’s complementary feeding journey. Remember, your baby’s first foods should be nutrient-dense, safe, and varied! 🥣

ReelsWorried that your 1-year-old isn’t gaining enough weight? 🤔 One of the biggest surprises for parents after the first birthday is how much toddler weight gain slows down. Between 1 and 2 years, many children may gain only around 1–2 kg over the entire year. Their appetite naturally decreases compared to infancy, while they become much more active, curious and playful. At this age, children often grow more in height and length than in weight, which can make them suddenly look thinner or “too small” to their parents. So, a slimmer-looking toddler does not automatically mean poor growth or undernutrition. What matters is their overall growth pattern — weight, height, head circumference, development, activity and their growth chart over time. 💛 If your toddler is eating less after 1 year, you’re not necessarily doing anything wrong. This is often a normal part of toddler growth.

Reels🚫 Stop Force Feeding Your Child! It’s Not Healthy Children are not machines—you can’t “fill” them like fuel tanks. Every child has a natural appetite, and respecting that is key. ✔️ Whether you follow traditional feeding (hand-feeding) or baby-led feeding, the most important thing is responsive feeding. ✔️ Feed your child when they show interest and hunger. ❌ If they turn away, close their mouth, or refuse—don’t force feed. ⚠️ If your child’s appetite is very low, or you notice poor weight/height growth, don’t ignore it. Find the root cause. 👉 Common reason: Nutritional deficiencies (like iron deficiency) can reduce appetite. ✔️ Treat the deficiency with proper medical advice—not force feeding. ❌ Avoid appetite-stimulating syrups just to make your child eat more. ⚠️ “Chubby” does NOT mean healthy. ✅ If your child is active and growing within a normal range, they are healthy. 💡 Focus on health, not just weight. If concerned, consult a doctor and treat the real issue—not the symptom.

ReelsMany grandparents worry when they feel the “soft spot” (fontanelle) on a baby’s head—and often suggest applying lots of oil to help it close. But here’s the truth 👇 ✨ The soft spot is completely NORMAL ✨ It helps the baby’s brain and skull grow properly ✨ It closes naturally over time (usually by 1.5 to 2 years) There are actually two fontanelles—anterior (front) and posterior (back)—and both play an important role in allowing the skull bones to expand as your baby grows. 💡 Important: Applying oil does NOT make the soft spot close faster. This is a natural process and doesn’t need any intervention. 👩⚕️ As parents, all you need to do is: ✔️ Handle baby’s head gently ✔️ Ensure good nutrition ✔️ Follow regular pediatric check-ups Let’s replace myths with science and raise confident, informed parents ❤️ #newparents #babycare #fontanelle #softspot #parentingtips

ReelsDiaper rashes getting worse in summer? Here’s what actually helps 👇 ☀️ Give diaper-free time Let your baby stay without a diaper for 4–5 hours during the day. ReelsMake ORS the Right Way 💧 Many parents try to help their child during vomiting, diarrhea (motions), flu, or excessive sweating by giving ORS. But a very common mistake is mixing ORS powder in random amounts of water. If ORS is not prepared correctly, it won’t work properly to treat dehydration. ✔️ How to prepare ORS correctly: • Always mix one full ORS sachet in the exact amount of water mentioned on the packet (usually 200 ml or 1 litre). • Do not divide the sachet randomly or mix it in extra water. • Use safe water — boiled and cooled water, RO water, or clean filtered water. • Stir well until the powder dissolves completely. Correctly prepared Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS) helps replace lost fluids and essential salts, preventing dehydration in children and adults. Small step, big difference in recovery. #ORS #OralRehydration #DehydrationPrevention #ChildHealth #ParentingTips

ReelsAfter getting back from a week-long training, we were honestly too exhausted to deal with the kids. All we wanted was to rest. But we still decided, let’s go to the zoo anyway. And yes, it made us even more tired. But somewhere in the middle of the chaos—walking around, watching the kids get excited, sharing little laughs—we found so many happy moments. It’s easy to anchor onto the exhaustion and the overwhelm that comes with being parents of young children. But it takes effort and intention to pause and say, “No—our story will be full of happy memories, and it’s our job to create them.” When we choose that mindset, even in the middle of life’s trials and tribulations, something beautiful happens. The small, ordinary moments start turning into meaningful ones. ReelsBaby Bottle Sterilization – Important for Babies Under 1 Year 🍼 Just rinsing a bottle with hot water is NOT sterilization. For proper baby bottle sterilization: ✔️ Step 1: Wash all bottle parts separately (bottle, nipple, cap, ring) with soap and clean water. ✔️ Step 2: Place them in rolling boiling water for at least 5 minutes. ✔️ Step 3: Remove with clean tongs and let them air dry on a clean surface. ✔️ Sterilize before EVERY feed if your baby is under 1 year of age. Other ways to sterilize baby bottles: 🔹 Dishwasher sterilization • Place bottles on the top rack • Use hot water + heated drying cycle • Works only if your dishwasher has a high-temperature setting 🔹 Microwave sterilization • Use a microwave sterilizer box or microwave-safe container • Add water as instructed • Heat for 2–5 minutes depending on the device 🔹 Steam sterilizers • Electric baby bottle steam sterilizers are quick and convenient. ⚠️ Why it matters: Proper sterilization protects babies from bacteria, diarrhea, vomiting, and infections, especially in the first year of life. #BabyBottleSterilization #NewParentTips #InfantCare #BottleFeeding

But this can be unsafe. ⚠️ Medicines may temporarily reduce symptoms, but the actual cause of the illness may remain untreated. A fever, cough, stomach pain, or vomiting can have many different reasons. Giving medicines repeatedly without proper diagnosis can delay the right treatment and sometimes even harm the child. 👶 For children, it is always safer to: • Avoid repeated self-medication • Consult a doctor if symptoms persist • Treat the root cause, not just the symptoms Your child’s health deserves the right diagnosis and the right treatment. #ParentingTips #ChildHealth #PediatricAdvice #SafeParenting

I don’t try to do everything myself. And that support allows me to be cheerful, present, and emotionally available for my children. This isn’t about comparison. It’s about capacity. ReelsA true sign of good parenting is this 👇 If your child can talk to you freely — about their fears, mistakes, friendships, doubts, or even things they did wrong — you are doing something right. When children feel safe, not judged, and know that your love is unconditional, they open up. They trust you. They choose you. ❤️ But if home doesn’t feel like a safe space, they will look for that comfort somewhere else. And the outside world may not always guide them in the right way. Be their safe place. Listen more. React less. Correct without shaming. Love without conditions. Because when your child feels emotionally safe with you, that is the biggest parenting success. #PositiveParenting #SafeParenting #GentleParenting #ParentingReels #ConsciousParenting

ReelsMothers carry so much — the sleepless nights, the constant worry, the endless responsibility. And yet, when a child falls sick, doesn’t gain enough weight, or has a tough day… the first person blamed is often the mother. Please remember: she is already trying her absolute best. She is learning, adjusting, sacrificing, loving — every single day. Instead of pointing fingers, let’s offer support. Instead of criticism, let’s offer encouragement. Instead of making her feel inadequate, let’s remind her she is enough. To every mother watching this — you are not failing. You are showing up. And that matters more than anything. 🤍 #motherhood #bethevillage #supportnewmom

ReelsSimple Febrile Seizures – What Parents Need to Know 👶 Age group: 6 months to 5 years 🌡️ Triggered by: Fever What is a Simple Febrile Seizure? Happens with fever Single episode during one fever illness Lasts less than 5 minutes Usually generalized (whole body jerking) Child regains consciousness quickly No weakness or neurological problem after the episode Do we need tests or hospital admission? ❌ No routine investigations ❌ No hospital admission needed (if it fits simple febrile seizure criteria) It may repeat with future fevers until 5 years of age. What should parents do? ✔️ Stay calm ✔️ Place the child in left lateral position (on the side) ✔️ Clear the mouth if there are secretions/vomiting ✔️ Do NOT put anything inside the mouth ✔️ Wait for the seizure to stop on its own When is it a red flag? 🚩 Seizure lasting more than 5 minutes 🚩 Repeated seizures in the same illness 🚩 Child not regaining consciousness Otherwise, parents can be reassured. ReelsPainless vs Painful Vaccine – what parents should know “Many parents ask about painless vaccines. The painful vaccine is the same effective vaccine and is available both in government and private centres. The painless vaccine has an added component that reduces pain and fever, but it is usually available only in private hospitals and may not be easily available everywhere. Most important thing to remember 👉 both protect your child equally well. Choosing painless or painful does not affect immunity, only the comfort during and after vaccination.” #painlessvaccine #babyvaccination #parentingtips

ReelsWhite patches on your child’s face — should you worry? 🤍 Not every white patch is vitiligo. Many children simply have pityriasis alba, a very common and harmless skin condition. 🔍 How to tell the difference? • Vitiligo: – Very white patches – Clearly defined borders – Often around eyes, mouth, fingertips • Pityriasis alba: – Mild, light-colored patches – Poorly defined borders – Commonly on the cheeks – Improves with simple skincare & moisturisers ❌ Myth buster Pityriasis alba is NOT caused by worms, calcium deficiency, or poor nutrition. ✅ What helps? Reels“My baby looks thin… should I start solids early?” 👉 The answer is NO. At 4–5 months, a baby’s gut is not ready for solids. Starting early can lead to digestive issues, constipation, allergies, and feeding problems later on. 👶 Thin does NOT mean unhealthy. Ignore comments from relatives and neighbours and check the baby’s weight properly. ✔️ If weight gain is appropriate for age and birth weight → baby is doing well ✔️ Breast milk or formula is enough till 6 months ✔️ If weight gain is poor, discuss feeding options (like formula supplementation) with your pediatrician — not early solids 🍼 Solids are about readiness, not weight. 🕕 Start solids around 6 months, when baby is developmentally ready. Trust growth charts, not comments ❤️ #StartingSolids #BabyNutrition #WeaningJourney #BreastfeedingSupport #InfantFeeding PediatricAdvice ParentingTips HealthyBaby

ReelsThe first and best treatment for diarrhea is ORS, even before antibiotics or anti-diarrheal medicines. Here’s how parents can use it correctly 👇 1️⃣ Mix ORS properly Use exactly as written on the sachet Usually 1 sachet in 1 litre (or 200 ml, if mentioned) Too strong or too dilute ORS won’t work well 2️⃣ How much ORS to give? Simple rule: Weight (kg) × 10 = ORS (ml) This amount is given after every loose stool or vomiting 👉 Example: If your child weighs 10 kg → Give 100 ml ORS after each loose motion or vomit 3️⃣ Give small, frequent sips Even if the child is vomiting, continue ORS Small sips every few minutes work best ✨ ORS prevents dehydration, which is the real danger in diarrhea. Medicines come later—fluids come first. #ors #kidcare #diarrheakids

ReelsFruit nibblers 🍓— useful or useless? In my opinion, fruit nibblers don’t really help babies learn to eat fruits properly. 👉 When fruits are put inside a nibbler, the baby mostly gets fruit juice—that means sugar + water, while fiber is lost. 👉 Fiber is important for gut health, chewing skills, and fullness. ✅ Better option: Baby-Led Weaning (BLW) • Offer fruits in their natural form • Soft fruits → give as long strips or wedges • Hard fruits (apple, pear) → steam or boil and then offer as soft strips This way, babies get fiber, vitamins, minerals, and also learn chewing and self-feeding skills 🍎👶 ✨ Real food. ReelsNot getting milk while pumping? Don’t give up just yet 🤍 Many mothers feel disappointed when they pump only 2–3 times a day and see very little milk. This is very common and does NOT mean you have low milk supply. 👉 The key thing to understand: Your body responds to stimulation. Just like a baby feeds every 2–3 hours, your pump also needs to work the same way. ✔️ Pump every 2–3 hours ✔️ Pump for 15–20 minutes each session ✔️ If supply is low, add power pumping sessions ✔️ Ensure correct flange size ✔️ Use comfortable but effective suction Milk output from a pump depends on how often and how well the breast is stimulated, not on one or two pump sessions. Be patient, be consistent, and trust your body 💪 #breastpumping #breastfeedingmom #parentingtips #hyderabaddoctors

ReelsVomiting after bottle feeds? It may NOT be the formula ❌🍼 Many bottle-fed babies vomit not because of the milk, but because of how the bottle is given. 👉 Common mistake: Feeding the baby while lying flat in the lap with the bottle held straight up (vertical). This causes: Excess air swallowing Gas buildup Sudden vomiting right after feeds ✅ Solution: Paced Bottle Feeding ✔ Hold your baby in an almost sitting / semi-upright position ✔ Keep the bottle horizontal, not vertical ✔ Let the baby drink at their own pace ✔ Pause and give burps in between if the baby seems uncomfortable This simple change can significantly reduce gas, spit-ups, and vomiting after bottle feeds. 💡 Remember: technique matters as much as the milk. #bottlefeed #babycare #parentingtips #hyderabaddoctors

ReelsGovernment vaccination is safe, effective, and life-saving. It covers all major and deadly diseases that affect children. These vaccines are scientifically proven, government-approved, and strictly monitored. However, due to limited funds and public health priorities, the government program cannot include some additional (optional) vaccines. This does not mean government vaccines are inferior — it only means the focus is on maximum protection for maximum children. If parents are financially capable and already spending on extra protection, better nutrition, education, or activities for their child, they can choose optional vaccines from a private hospital for additional protection. Important Points to Understand- ✅ Government vaccines = Safe + Essential + Life-saving ➕ Private hospitals offer optional vaccines, not “better” vaccines ⏰ Timely vaccination matters more than the place Doctor’s Message to Parents “First complete all government-recommended vaccines on time. Reels“Kissing disease” isn’t as harmless as it sounds. Cold sores on the lips are caused by Herpes Simplex Virus-1. For adults, it may be mild—but for babies, it can be serious. Once this virus enters a baby’s body, it stays for life and can reactivate whenever immunity is low. In infants, the infection can spread beyond the lips and involve the mouth, palate, throat, windpipe, and even the food pipe. If you have active lip sores, avoid kissing babies on the face or mouth. This one small precaution can prevent a lifelong infection. When it comes to newborns and infants, better safe than sorry. #kissingdisease #dontkissbaby #parentingtips #hyderabaddoctors

ReelsWHEN TO START SOLIDS? 🤔 Most parents are told to exclusively breastfeed their baby for the first six months, and then start introducing solids. But how do you know if your little one is developmentally ready for this exciting new stage? 🍼➡️🥣 Here are some signs to look out for: 1. Your baby can sit unassisted, even if it's just for a short while. 🪑 2. They show eagerness and interest in your food, and might even try to grab it from your hand. 🍽️👶 3. They start picking up objects and putting them into their mouth using their hands. 👐👄 4. ReelsA lot of people I know today might not know this about me: 1. I was an introvert as a child. I wasn’t good at social communication, making friends, or holding conversations. But with time, life experiences, and conscious effort, I slowly built those skills into what you see today. 2. I hated it when even a bit of dirt touched my feet. The sight of blood would make me cry. My mother, seeing this side of me, didn’t think I could survive the doctor life. But going through MBBS and MD in government colleges knocked every bit of that ‘ick’ feeling out of me. Today, blood, vomit, stool, or urine—nothing really shakes me. 3. I wasn’t naturally good with kids. Sure, I loved and adored them. But being able to engage, play, and connect with them didn’t come easily. Everything I know today about being playful and child-friendly—I had to learn. 4. I never thought of myself as a smart kid. Subjects like Math and Physics—logical, problem-solving ones—were never my strong point. I still did well, but only because I worked extra hard. I was never naturally brilliant. So if you're reading this, know that you’re not supposed to be born with all the skills you want to have. You can grow, you can change, and you can learn.
